Good Morning! Remember how I told you all that I am going to be more intentional with going out on dates with my hubby? Well we had our first date (in a long time) a few weeks ago and we seriously had a blast! I wanted to go again the next day, haha. I seriously do think it is so good for couples (especially if you have kids!) to have some time together, away from the house, without your precious little one. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing things together as a family, but it really is so important for you to get that one on one time with your husband.
Anyway, since Valentine’s Day is less than a month away (wait, what!?!), I thought I would show you two different Valentine’s Day date night outfits. Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. I mean, isn’t a holiday where you celebrate love just the best!? Both of these date night outfits are from the adorable boutique called, PinkBlush.
**PinkBlush has gifted me these dresses in exchange for a review, but as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
What I love about PinkBlush is that most of their clothes are nursing friendly (hallelujah says every nursing mama looking for a cute dress!) and that they are designed to be able to be worn before, during, and after pregnancy. No, I am not pregnant, but I love that if I am going to invest in nice clothes that I don’t have to worry about not being able to wear them if I do end up having another baby.
For the first look today, I am showing you this Black Lace Bell Sleeve Dress (all the heart eyes for bell sleeves!!) with a bright red envelope clutch to add a little color for Valentine’s Day. What I love about a black dress is that you can dress it up with accessories for any occasion! You can do hot pink or even blush for Valentine’s Day, or change it up for any other holiday or occasion. I have kept the accessories simple with a simple statement necklace, nude lace up heels, and a bright red clutch.
For the second look, I combined a leather jacket with a Red Chiffon Lace Trim dress. I love the contrast of the lace with the leather. I didn’t do much else with this look. I am wearing a few small pieces of jewelry and wore black tights with my favorite black booties. I must admit, at first just looking at the dresses, the black lace dress was my favorite, but after styling them, I love how this one turned out! Also, if you haven’t noticed, red is my absolute favorite color to wear for Valentine’s Day. 😉
If you look closely on this last picture you can see my little one playing with his latest obsession, tractors, haha. What is your favorite Valentine’s Day look? Do you prefer to dress up or keep it more casual? Do you tend to go for reds or pinks? Let me know in the comments below!
