The weather here has been so gorgeous lately! It has been in the high 70s to mid 80s already and we are so ready for pool days, eating watermelon outside, and making homemade popsicles! Last summer was the first year my son really started to get interested in the pool and water activities. And we discovered that he would rather be outside all day long if he could, haha. Needless to say, we are so ready for mornings at the pool, snacking on watermelon after naptime, and running in the sprinklers in the afternoon.READ MORE
So, tonight’s post is a little spontaneous, but we just enjoyed an afternoon of dying eggs for Easter! I wanted to try something different that wouldn’t make too much of a mess for my toddler to participate in. I had one idea in mind that he could do and we were going to try one other idea. We ended up trying four different ways of coloring eggs (other than in the vinegar/water “egg bath” way). And no, I did not end up having time to try dying them naturally like I mentioned in my bucket list. Maybe next year we will be a little more prepared for this. But, most of these ideas are super easy to do and you probably have all of the supplies in your kitchen already!READ MORE
It is officially spring! It’s that time that it begins to cool down (aka about 75 degrees) before it gets too hot to go outside during the summer; so I like to make the most out of it!READ MORE

During the holiday season, you will probably find yourself traveling at some point. I don’t know about you, but ever since having my son, we suddenly have a TON of things to pack anytime we leave the house. My husband and I joke that it probably looks like we are moving out every time we leave because of everything we take with us. I don’t know how they do it, but somehow those tiny humans need so many things, haha.READ MORE
The holiday season is upon us! You probably have a never-ending list of things you hope to accomplish or experience before the New Year. I know for me that the holidays can be pretty busy. I have a list of things that need to be done in time for Christmas. It might just be the perfectionist in me, but I have a mental list going of things that I need to do in order to have the “perfect” Christmas. Lately, I have found myselfREAD MORE
When you first get married and are still in the “honeymoon phase” it is really easy to date your spouse. It’s just the two of you, so you can go wherever you want, whenever you want. And that’s great! There is nothing wrong with that. But then you have kids. When you have kids, it can be really hard to get out of the house for a date. You have to think about your baby now too. But getting out, just the two of you, is even more important now than ever!READ MORE
Happy first day of fall! I am so ready for the weather to finally begin cooling down! Fall is my favorite season for many reasons…scarves, hot chocolate, apple flavored everything, scarves, cooler weather, have I mentioned scarves yet? 😉
This fall will be my son’s second time experiencing the season (although last year he was pretty little still). There are so many things that I am so excited for him to experience this fall. So, I thought it would be fun to share some things that are on our fall bucket list for this year!READ MORE
Summer is coming to an end soon. This morning, the air was slightly cool right before the sun came up and it hit 100 degrees. It reminded me that soon we would be bundling up as the summer ends and fall begins.
This summer, I attempted to get my 17 month old and I on somewhat of a schedule, but, it is summer after all, so it was not very successful. It is my goal to homeschool my son when he is school aged, so in an effort to begin as I mean to go, I have already begun doing “preschool” type material with him. I want him to be used to having school time so that when he is old enough to actually begin doing school, it will not be completely foreign to him. Plus, I am always more productive (especially being a stay-at-home mom) when I have a schedule to follow.READ MORE
It is summertime! Here in California, the temperature can quickly get up over 100 degrees during the day, so we have needed to be very creative with ways to stay cool while keeping our 16-month-old son entertained. He absolutely loves to go outside and play, so I’m going to share with you a few low (if any) cost activities that we do with our toddler in the summertime!
What is it that makes your marriage stronger? Is it weekly dates? Is it buying each other gifts? Maybe it is when you help each other with different chores you have to get done? Whatever it might be, do you do these things often enough? I don’t know about you, but I want to make sure I am investing in my relationship with the person I am going to be spending the rest of my life with.
For my husband and I, we love experiencing things together. One way we especially enjoy doing this is by taking trips together. Sitting in the car and then exploring our destination together has always been the best bonding time for us. READ MORE
