Since having my son, I have struggled with finding my “mom style”. I want to dress in a way that is still true to my style, but I also need to remember that I have to wear something that I can easily nurse in. I was afraid I would fall into the frumpy mom look and that I wouldn’t be able to wear anything that I loved. For a while, I did and I wasn’t happy with how I looked.
Summer is right around the corner! I’ve been dreaming of days spent by the pool and family vacations for a while now! It is already supposed to get up to 100 degrees here this week, so I have been thinking of ways to keep cool. At the beginning of summer, I always make sure we have our beach bag packed and ready to grab for any spontaneous adventures or pool days.
Today, I am going to share with you my summer day essentials, which just so happens to be what I have ready to go in our beach bag!READ MORE
One of the most frustrating things for my husband and I is that we live in an apartment. Apartment living does have its benefits (as I’m typing this, I can hear the lawn being mowed. We love that our landlord does that and many other things around our apartment complex to keep it looking nice.)
However, every. single. time. we go to Home Depot, my husband and I leave wishing we did own a home so we could do whatever we wanted with it.
Recently, however, we figured out a fun way to add space in the kitchen and to improve on the look of the kitchen! READ MORE
How many of you feel like you are constantly rushing and hardly have time to get ready in the mornings? I know I do! I felt that way even before I had my son. At the beginning of the month, we celebrated my son’s birthday. You can read the letter that I wrote him on his birthday, here.
I can’t believe that it has already been a month since we celebrated my son turning one! We were so blessed to have many friends and family come out and celebrate with us! It was so nice to be surrounded by so many people who were there to support us in our first year of parenthood.READ MORE
I believe that traditions are important for a family. They are the things that you look forward to. They make you smile as you think back on past years. They make you excited to begin your own traditions when you start a family.READ MORE
You know all those super cute and girly welcome mats you see at Target and all over Instagram? I love those! I especially like the one that says “Home” with a heart in place of the “o”. Every time we are at the store and walk by them, I’ll point them out to my husband who immediately says that there is no way! (He’s not a fan of super girly things, I’ve noticed 😉 )
