It is officially fall and our mornings have had a little bit of a chill lately! I have even been enjoying a cup of hot chocolate in the evenings after my son goes to bed. However, it is still pretty hot outside during the day (like still in the mid 90s!). I finally put together my fall capsule wardrobe, but decided not to post about it this time. I was not as strict with the usual capsule “rules” and I actually created a two part capsule; the first part for this time of year when it’s fall but its still really hot out (think tee shirts, shorts, and sandals still), and the second part includes more sweaters and cardigans that I can wear once it cools down.READ MORE
Happy first day of fall! I am so ready for the weather to finally begin cooling down! Fall is my favorite season for many reasons…scarves, hot chocolate, apple flavored everything, scarves, cooler weather, have I mentioned scarves yet? 😉
This fall will be my son’s second time experiencing the season (although last year he was pretty little still). There are so many things that I am so excited for him to experience this fall. So, I thought it would be fun to share some things that are on our fall bucket list for this year!READ MORE
I’ve been struggling lately with feeling like myself while trying to balance everything in my life right now. It is especially difficult when a screaming toddler wakes me up in the morning. He used to sleep in more before, but lately he has been waking up very early and he cries the second he wakes up for me to go get him. Waking up to that every morning was wearing me out emotionally.
I am an introvert, so I have noticed that I need some time to myself to “recharge”. With my son waking me up in the mornings, I was no longer getting very much time to myself.READ MORE
Happy Monday! I totally took a break from blogging last week because I have been extremely busy with my photography business and with launching the fall collection for my etsy shop! But, before I jump into all things fall here on the blog, I wanted to share my simple summer go to outfit!READ MORE
We have been having some very hot days here lately (100+ degrees)! I have always been an accessories girl, but summer is always challenging to me because I do not want anything extra that will make the high temperatures any more uncomfortable. I have always struggled with finding that perfect item to keep my accessory loving self happy without overheating.
So, if you are an accessory loving girl like me and you struggle with finding the perfect accessory to wear that won’t make you more uncomfortable in the summer heat, your search has ended! I have gathered up my favorites to share with you!
Summer is coming to an end soon. This morning, the air was slightly cool right before the sun came up and it hit 100 degrees. It reminded me that soon we would be bundling up as the summer ends and fall begins.
This summer, I attempted to get my 17 month old and I on somewhat of a schedule, but, it is summer after all, so it was not very successful. It is my goal to homeschool my son when he is school aged, so in an effort to begin as I mean to go, I have already begun doing “preschool” type material with him. I want him to be used to having school time so that when he is old enough to actually begin doing school, it will not be completely foreign to him. Plus, I am always more productive (especially being a stay-at-home mom) when I have a schedule to follow.READ MORE
Happy Friday everyone! Can you believe it is already August!? I was sure that I just turned the calendar to July only a few days ago, and now it’s already August!
Well, today, I am sharing another outfit with you all! The weather has been ridiculously high lately (I’m talking over 105, ALL WEEK!), so I have had fall on my mind a lot! I usually wait until it is closer to the end of my third month to go through my clothes for my next capsule wardrobe, but with my desire to wish fall upon us, I went through them in the middle of July and began brainstorming what items I might want to add to my wardrobe!
Hey guys, so I ended up taking last week off from blogging. I had full intentions of posting something, but never got to it with so much going on lately. Plus, it was my birthday on Sunday!
I told my husband that all I wanted this year was to get PROFESSIONAL family photos taken. So on Saturday, we drove an hour and a half (I wanted to get far away from where we are living, haha!) and met with our photographer who did an AMAZING job! I am so excited to see the photos!READ MORE
Before having my son, I knew my style! I would describe it as fun, dressy, and girly. I was working at a school, so I would dress up every day. After having my son, I pretty much wore sweatpants and a nursing tank every day for about two months. I was frustrated that I was not losing the pregnancy weight that everyone said I would lose quickly due to breastfeeding. I was discouraged because none of my clothes fit.
I went to Old Navy and picked up a few boyfriend tees. I absolutely LOVE that style. They are super comfy and great at hiding the extra baby weight I’m still struggling to lose. So, anyway, on to my outfit!READ MORE
Summer is here! That means it is time to transfer over to my summer capsule wardrobe. I have been loving my capsule wardrobe! I don’t have to think about getting dressed and I definitely am not having to spend any time trying on something and then throwing it on the floor because it doesn’t quite fit right (something I did a lot before starting my capsule wardrobe). My fear with doing a capsule wardrobe was that I would quickly get bored since I was wearing the same things for 3 months. But you know what? I didn’t!
