It is officially spring! It’s that time that it begins to cool down (aka about 75 degrees) before it gets too hot to go outside during the summer; so I like to make the most out of it!READ MORE
I love throwing a good party! Last year when my son turned one, I began planning his birthday party when he turned six months old. I was really excited at the thought of being able to throw my child a birthday party especially since he is my first baby. So I began the planning process very early. I searched on Pinterest for the perfect theme and then once I found that, I began looking at different DIY décor ideas and planning the menu, games, and party favors.
It was all going well until about a month before he turned one. I began realizing that I didn’t have much time left for all the projects I wanted to complete.READ MORE
What do you think of when you hear the words “living room”? For me, I picture our family gathered together playing on the floor with my son’s cars or dinosaurs. I picture pizza and movie night eating on the floor in front of the TV. I picture quiet mornings sipping coffee and holding hands with my husband. I picture no couch space and balloons scattered across the floor as family gathers together to celebrate a birthday. I picture laughing at my husband’s corny joke as we enjoy an at home date night. For me, the living room is the central hub of the house. That is where we spend probably 75% of our day. READ MORE
We have been talking about changing up the style of our living room for a while now. When we got married, our entire house theme was the colors black, gray, and red. I loved it, but after now 5 1/2 years later….I’m ready for an update 😉
So, I did what any girl would do these days and began checking out Pinterest for something that I liked. READ MORE
Good Morning! Remember how I told you all that I am going to be more intentional with going out on dates with my hubby? Well we had our first date (in a long time) a few weeks ago and we seriously had a blast! I wanted to go again the next day, haha. I seriously do think it is so good for couples (especially if you have kids!) to have some time together, away from the house, without your precious little one. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing things together as a family, but it really is so important for you to get that one on one time with your husband.
Anyway, since Valentine’s Day is less than a month away (wait, what!?!), READ MORE
A while back I posted about our daily schedule. I mentioned that I love to go on Pinterest and see how other toddler mamas schedule their day. I love the idea of a well-scheduled day that goes exactly as I have written down. However, any mom can tell you, that is not realistic. ChildrenREAD MORE
Mid December of 2015 I sat in front of my closet, frustrated because I had so much clothes but always felt like I had NOTHING to wear. That same day, I pulled everything out of my closet and my dresser and everything I had in storage and threw it all on my bed and began sorting through it. You can read my exact steps on how I created my capsule wardrobe here.
And that began my love for having a minimal capsule wardrobe. It has now been a little over a year since I created that first capsule wardrobe and I am still loving my clothes and best of all, I am not feeling overwhelmed every time I look at my closet. Each item that I chose is something that fits me well and is something that I love to wear! Creating a capsule wardrobe was the best choice I made regarding my wardrobe!READ MORE

Good Morning! Can you believe that the New Year is almost here!? I am still shocked by how quickly this year went by. Every year, in this in between Christmas and New Years Day, I like to take the time to reflect on the past year, plan and dream about the New Year, and try to declutter my life and mind a little.
So many of my family and friends mention that they are sad when Christmas is over and they have to take their Christmas decorations down.READ MORE
Can you believe that Christmas is almost here?! This year seemed to just fly right by! This is my son’s second Christmas, so I am doing my best to be more intentional about creating new traditions to do with him. He helped me decorate the Christmas tree, we strung popcorn and cranberries while watching a Christmas movie, we have been baking everything, and last week we made a dried orange garland to hang in our dining area.READ MORE
Happy Friday! I was hoping to have this post up sooner this week, but I have been trying very hard to be more present with my son during the day… so that means not working on blog posts while he watches Curious George Christmas for the 400th time. (That show is seriously on repeat for him, haha, he can’t get enough of Curious George). We have been spending our days doing Christmas crafts, reading his three Christmas books over and over, baking, listening to Christmas music, taking pictures by the tree, and playing. I wish this month would slow down because I am seriously loving this season with my little guy. Anyway, on to todays topic!READ MORE
